The European Patent Convention signed to purpose of constitute common patent system and law all European countries in 1973 and it has enforced in Turkey since November 1 2000. EPC is autonomous institution that independent from European Union. Applications is made under the European Patent Offices.
Who may make an application with the EPC?
Each natural and legal persons who are citizen one of the member countries of European Patent Convention can make application. In Europe, an applicant may apply with;
- directly to one of the European Patent Offices.
- with the national or with the International Office(WIPO).
